July 24, 2021, Our CASA Program is pleased to announce the new grand opening of our CASA Offices in Veedersburg. Set up as a non-conventional office, this space offers a living room setting for children to visit with family, a kitchen where parents can cook meals with children, laundry facilities, a “Children’s Closet” full of emergency clothing and supplies for children in crisis, and a toy room with an assortment of age-appropriate games and toys for children of all ages. Of course, the building offers a traditional meeting room for trainings, offices, and observations spaces for our CASA Volunteers. This space offers children, removed in the middle of the night, a safe and comfortable space to wait, while their safety is assessed and placement needs are determined. Parents needing a place for supervised parenting time can use the space to spend time with their children.
