About Us

Our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program recruits, screens, and trains volunteer child advocates to work in the court system in collaboration with other key agencies, legal counsel, and community resources to represent the best interests of children in juvenile court proceedings. CASA volunteers make recommendations regarding appropriate protective and rehabilitative services necessary to ensure a safe and permanent home for every child adjudicated as a child in need of services within the county. Ours is a bi-county program with Warren and Fountain Counties, which launched its program in 2010 in Fountain County before teaming up with Warren County in 2017. Volunteers may limit their time to either Warren County, Fountain County or serve both. Certified CASA volunteer programs exist in 88 of our 92 Indiana counties. In 2020, 4,292 active volunteers advocated for children involved in 22,627 CHINS cases, with 813 new volunteers trained in 2020, spending nearly 24,400 hours in initial training.
